Children in for top entertainment

Dean O'Brien's ''Mr Yipadee'' kids character.

Two chart-topping Kiwi children's entertainers will perform in Invercargill today and Gore tomorrow.

Wonky Donkey author and musician Craig Smith and musician Dean O'Brien, aka Mr Yipadee, will perform a show at James Hargest College at 4.30pm.

They will also perform their show at Longford Intermediate in Gore tomorrow.

Smith has sold more than 1 million copies of his books and CDs, while O'Brien, who now lives in England, topped the British iTunes children's albums charts this year with his debut album The Yes I Can Club.

The southern shows are part of a nationwide tour of school halls. Admission is $10.
