DANCING with the Stars has opened tonight without the magic of Cosentino, whose future in the reality TV dancing competition could be in jeopardy.
The Magician and Illusionist scored a perfect 10 last week at the show's premiere, but Channel Seven has not revealed what has happened to him despite promoting something has occurred, as the show went to air tonight.
DWTS co-hosts Daniel MacPherson and Edwina Bartholomew told viewers that he will "hopefully be here soon".
Close to 9pm AEST, they announced that Cosentino was backstage, and they would be speaking to him shortly.
Viewers on Twitter showed their concern about his health.
Cosentino, songbird Tina Arena and swimmer Libby Trickett were the great surprise performers at the show's premiere, winning over the judges with their advanced skills and commitment to a challenge that has been the undoing of some of Australia's biggest names.

The first pairing to deliver a contemporary routine left the judges and audience mesmerised by their choreography and chemistry. Adam explained the challenge was to make an emotional connection through dance and said Cosentino and his partner Jessica had "moved me." Helen said: "if anyone was going to pull a rabbit out of the hat tonight, it was you," giving him the first 10 for any contestant on debut.
Scores: Todd 9, Kym 9, Helen, 10, Adam 9 - total: 37
